The Websites of Rosana Hart

My first website was Hartworks.com, this one you're on, back in the 90s. It's been through several changes since then. Now it's mainly where we can present all our work in one spot.

Then I did a site  on llamas and llama training -- we used to raise these wonderful animals. I redid it completely not too long ago. Here are some high points:

An enjoyable snippet from our program, Llama Training with Bobra Goldsmith. The whole DVD runs almost two hours but the little selection, an embedded Youtube video, is just over two minutes.

A free download in PDF format of the book I wrote about our years of raising llamas, Living with Llamas. It's one of my better writing projects and I am happy to make it available at no cost to everyone now.

My father was the science fiction writer Cordwainer Smith, and I have a large site about his works and his life.

I've enjoyed dog training all my life, and my site training-dogs.com features positive, pain-free methods. (I am not a Cesar Millan fan.) There is really quite a revolution going on in dog training approaches, and I am happy to be part of it with this site.

I draw on the works of Dr. Ian Dunbar, Karen Pryor (who brought clicker training to the dog world), and others. I'm not a professional trainer myself but I do love to write about dog training and the enjoyable methods like dog clicker training.

Most of the action on this site is now on my dog training blog.

We began spending more time in Mexico around 2002, and the next year I started Mexico with Heart.

This began as the story of a trip we took around various parts of Mexico in our motorhome in 2003. You can read it online beginning here: Our Mexican RV Trip

This site also has a lot on living in Mexico, as it was our home base for almost  years. Here's a page with a short video I made on the street market or tianguis in Ajijic, Jalisco, right near our home in San Juan Cosala.

I did a section on the Mexican site about learning Spanish and gradually realized that was a topic well worth its own site. So I did one: you can get lots of tips on how to learn Spanish fast at my site

I will never actually speak perfect Spanish but in the course of doing the Spanish site, I realized I had strong opinions (surprise, surprise) on various software programs available for learning Spanish. Many of them are also available for other languages, so I added a site on how to learn languages fast, at Learnlanguagesrapidly.com. So far the only section up is about learning Mandarin Chinese. Why did I start with Chinese? Because I have some good stories to tell about my father speaking Mandarin! My top recommendation for a Chinese language program is Rocket Chinese, followed by Fluenz Mandarin.

I have a blog with the motto Where Simple Living Meets Sustainable Living, at Simplegreenliving.com. This ties in with a lot of my husband Kelly's sites.

Well, I do have a few smaller sites and a few half-abandoned projects out there in cyberspace, but this more than keeps me busy!
