Olympia, Washington, is a very pleasant small
city, with a lot of spectacularly beautiful nature nearby. When
we lived there, I wrote a book called Twelve Walks Around
Olympia: Enjoying Washington's Capital City. "Gotta go
to work now!" I would smirk and go out to explore yet another
corner of the city or charming rural spot.
I took many photos for my book, then scanned my
favorites and changed them into black-and-white graphics, as
you can see in the sample
chapter, a walk around our own neighborhood, the Eastside.
Some of the original
photos, a little gallery of appreciation for a wonderful
region, are here.
Twelve Walks Around Olympia: Enjoying
Washington's Capital City, by Rosana Hart. Book, 126 pages.
Sorry, no longer available directly from us... but Fireside

and shorter hours on Sundays) or phone them at 360-352-4006.
Their email is firesidebookstore@msn.com.
Olympia,
Washingtons capital city, offers you a wide variety of
activities and walks. This book is designed to be your companion
at many special places in and around the city.
After a short history of Olympia and Washington, the book outlines
twelve walks, with commentary on what you are seeing along the
way. There are more than twelve good walks around Olympia, so
there is a section called More Walks. Youll also
find a detailed Resource Guide and many convenient maps.
The book is a little out of date regarding the downtown area especially,
as it was written in 1996.
